In terms of design, at the front it has a notch display and at the rear it has a plastic back with matte finish which is good. The display is big with HD+ resolution, which is common at this price. In terms of camera, we shouldn’t expect much from phones at this price point but it has decent dual cameras here. It has a big 5000 mah battery with 10W charging which is common at this price point. It has a Type- c port which is really great at this price point.

The category where the phone shines is software. It gives pure stock android experience which is really great at this price point. There are very less phones with stock experience. In terms of performance, it packs in the Mediatek Helio G35, which is one of the best processor we can find at this price range, especially under 8k. They also gave 4GB + 64GB varient for 8k, which is really great. But if we consider the base varient, it has 2GB RAM, which is not a good news. In 2020, we need a minimum of 3GB RAM to handle most of the basic tasks, so ignore the 2GB RAM variant. If you need to buy, then just increase 1k and get the 4GB + 64GB varient. It’s a lot better.

Our opinion

It’s a good news that the Indian brand, Micromax has come back with some really good options with great value for money smartphones. This is one of the best smartphone you can buy at this price. You get the best clean software experience with good specs. But people who buy 2GB RAM varient cannot run the phone for many years normally, so thats the concern. Micromax are back after years so we should see how they optimize their phone. Do check reviews before buying.
