Here is our comparison between Redmi Note 9 and newly launched Micromax IN Note 1. We decided to compare it because both pack in same chipset. We also give you alternative smartphones if you are able to extend your budget.

In the comparison between these two phones, the main difference we notice is in the software department. Micromax gives pure stock android experience (with no bloatware and no ads). On the other hand Redmi gives their own custom skin, MIUI. This depends on personal preference, if you like clean and light weight software, then stock android is the best thing you can find in android. But if you like customising a lot and if you are okey with bloatware and ads can manage it, then MIUI can be better option for you. But most of the users like stock android, even we like stock android. So we suggest micromax in this category.
Both have almost all same specs, in camera Redmi has advantage of 8MP Ultra-wide, but it doesn’t make a huge difference. Even in build, both have polycarbonate (plastic) back, so put a case on both to resist scratches. In display catogary, micromax has a bit huge display, so if you like bigger display then micromax is a better one here also.
Now if we see the pricing, micromax nails in this category. Its priced at just 11k for the 4GB+64GB varient and on the other hand redmi note 9 is priced at 12k, which is Rs.1,000 more than Micromax IN Note 1. If we keep the fact that micromax is Indian company, even then micromax wins the compitition.
Alternatives
We also give you alternatives if you can extend your budget a bit. If you need you samsung phone and if you can extend your budget till 12.5k, then you can buy Samsung galaxy M21, when has Amoled display, which is really great at this price point. No other major smartphones provide Amoled display, so its a game changer. It also has bigger 6000 mah battery, but you need compromise a bit build at the rear, you have to put up a case.
If you can extend your budget till 13k, then we suggest you Poco M2 pro. It has far better processor, Snapdragon 720G, which is really great for the price. The phone also has 33W fast charging, which is great. It also has glass back with premium build. So if you need a powerful phone with faster charging with premium build and if you can extend your budget till 13k, then go with Poco M2 pro.
